The place

The basis for a great picnic is choosing the right place. There are so many factors that influence the choice. E.g. convenience of travel, weather, popularity (lots of hustle and bustle), time of day and many more. So these factors should be considered in advance.

Germany is full of natural wonders, beautiful landscapes and fantastic outdoor places. A picnic in the mountains after a hike as a rest is always a wonderful experience.

The hardy nature lovers are not deterred by the weather. If you are this kind of person, you should think about how you can still enjoy the picnic warm and cosy. For example, you could take mobile heated outdoor products with you.

The food

Preparation is the key to a successful picnic, and choosing the right food, which after all you have to transport, can be a difficult task.

A cool box and cold packs are always a must in summer to keep drinks cold. In the cold season, on the other hand, a thermos flask is the right companion. In the best case, a barbecue is also available so that your picnic becomes a mobile barbecue.

Otherwise, finger food and canapés that don't have to be kept cold, but also don't have to be kept warm, are always a good alternative.

Ready to go?

The location is settled, the food is prepared and packed - now it's time to think about the set-up. The great thing about picnics is that you can make them creative and nostalgically glamorous or simple. Just the way you like it - the really important thing is the company!

Now it's time to think about the equipment. Will there be tables and benches or will it be a blanket on the floor? If you want your guests to sit at a table, you should bring tablecloths and cushions.

If you opt for the good old lawn carpet, you should choose a carpet that is large enough for all guests to sit on and, ideally, the rug is coated from underneath so that dirt or moisture don't stand a chance.

Depending on the season, the weather can be unpredictable. With heated outdoor products, such as cordless electric blankets or pads, make sure you and your guests are ready for anything. And why not get a new warming picnic blanket?

Insect alarm

Remember that when you picnic, you are in the great outdoors and you have food with you. You are bound to attract flies, mosquitoes and other insects. Plan ahead and take insect repellent or insect sprays with you.

Protect yourself not only from animals and insects, but also think about the sun! Even in the colder months, the sun can be very strong, especially in spring.

Remember to pack enough sunscreen for yourself and your guests!

Keep your guests warm

At Outchair, we have developed outdoor warming products specifically for this type of event and have thought of everything so that you can enjoy your picnic regardless of the temperature outside.
